When you know what you want to say, but you can't find the words to say it…

A letter of apology is for something we have done or said that we wish we hadn't. Be specific in your apology. Remember that this letter may be shown to others, so you may want to note what you are NOT apologizing for, as well as what you ARE apologizing for.

Here are sample letters of apology. Each letter was written in Microsoft® Word® (ending in .doc) using the font Times, and also saved in .pdf and .swf formats. Unless you actually removed it from your font list, Times is available on your computer. These letters can be copied and pasted into Microsoft® Word® or any other word processing application, including text editors, and changed to suit your needs. If Select All under Edit does not work, look for an I beam or the letter A on the toolbar and click on that. Then copy and paste into your word editor.

Remember to make the letter yours by using stationery and a font that is appropriate. An apology is not the time for Comic Sans or Sand.
